Eggs-tra fun family friendly events in Burton this Easter

Spring is in the air and with Easter half term on the way if you are looking for something to keep the family entertained why not check out these eggs-tra special events in and around Burton!

The Great Baldini Family Magic Show

Brewhouse Arts Centre, Union Street, Burton

For one day only, Wednesday 16 th April, FAMILY MAGIC SHOW tells the story of the legendary magician the Great Baldini and his trusty sidekick, Baldwin the magical dog, from their first tricks to the height of their careers – attempting Houdini’s greatest escape. The show is packed with magic, sweets, puppetry, sweets, water, sweets, eggs, sweets, and escapology. It’s hilariously silly…with sweets…it builds to the ultimate challenge – before your very eyes attempting a spectacular, death-defying piece of escape.

The Great Baldini is an award-winning member of the Magic Circle and the Bristol Stage Magic Champion.

Meet the new arrivals at National Forest Adventure Farm

Tatenhill, Burton

Bottle feed lambs and meet the new arrivals at the National Forest Adventure Farm’s Easter Eggstravaganza from Friday 11 th April to Friday 25th. With lots to keep little ones entertained hop on the Easter Eggspress tractor trailer ride up to the Woodland Trail to find the Easter bunny, take on Mega Slide Mountain – the UK’s longest outdoor mega slide, or enjoy one of the many Spring shows with kids entertainer Josh Benson and his hilarious, action packed magic and mayhem stage show. The popular Lambing Live event will also be back offering families the chance to see a Spring lamb being born in the ewe maternity ward.

Take to the slopes at Swadlincote Snowsports Centre

Sir Herbert Wragg Way, Swadlincote

The sun may be shining but Swadlincote Snowsports Centre is offering an action packed week of winter sports. Active kids aged 8 – 15 can try ski lessons, snow tubing, and tobogganing as part of the Easter Holiday Camp this half term.

Calke Abbey’s Easter Explorations

Ticknall, Derby

Step back in time at the stunning Calke Abbey, where kids can explore sprawling parklands and take part in family-friendly Easter trails from 5th -23rd April. With plenty of open space to run around and discover hidden treasures, this National Trust gem is ideal for an Easter day out. National Memorial Arboretum

From Monday 14 th to Friday 18 th April enjoy lots of Easter activities at the National Memorial Arboretum. Explore the free outdoor Stickman Trail or snuggle down in the Remembrance Centre for a screening of the Julia Donaldson classic tale before joining in with the free arts and craft sessions and music making workshops.
