Burton’s favourite community radio station.

Burton Radio (previously Micro Brew Radio) was formed in 2019 by Matt Reid, Jordan Whyatt (J-Man) and Tom Berriman. Since then, the station has grown from strength to strength, underpinning the rich, diverse culture and history that Burton presents.

Operating from the Brewhouse Arts Centre the shows include Sport, Comedy, Politics, Music, LGBTQIA+, Culture, Business and the occasional one off special.

Burton Radio is made up of over 30 volunteers that each bring something wonderful and different to the station. Without them we simply couldn’t operate. We’re very proud to host their shows, which cover a vast range of topics, all of which you can find over on our shows page.

When Matt & J founded Burton Radio back in 2019, they didn’t just want a radio station that played music all day long, they wanted to create something that helped connect the community, to give it a voice. Years later, it now has over 30 volunteer dj’s making popular shows that do exactly that, including events that embody the diversity of Burton on Trent.
