A Night to Remember: Derby & Burton’s Music Scene Shines at The Hairy Dog.
Saturday night at The Hairy Dog was a true showcase of the incredible talent coming out of Burton and Derby, with The Derby Indie Collective putting together an unforgettable lineup. From start to finish, this gig had everything—raw emotion, electrifying energy, and performances that left the crowd buzzing.

The night kicked off with the wonderful Rosie Brooks, whose acoustic set was the perfect opener. Her delicate yet powerful vocals and heartfelt lyrics set a warm and intimate tone, drawing the audience in from the very first note.

Next up was Lucille, and they wasted no time turning up the energy. With a full-band setup, they delivered a tight, powerful performance, blending melody and grit in all the right ways. Carl North’s excellent vocals brought a commanding presence to the set, soaring over the band’s dynamic sound. A special mention has to go to their lead guitarist Scott Green Smith, who was, as always, unbelievable—effortlessly weaving in killer solos and elevating every track.

Then came Joel Foster and his band, and what a performance they delivered. An absolute force, captivating the crowd with Joel’s incredible voice and undeniable stage presence, backed by a group of seriously talented musicians who brought every song to life. You could feel the passion in every note, with tight instrumentation and a chemistry that made their set truly special. It was clear that Joel Foster and the band are destined for big things.

Electric Pets followed, and they were nothing short of exceptional. Their infectious energy and top-tier performance had the crowd completely hooked, making it impossible not to dance along. Every song hit with power and precision, showing just how much fun a live band can be when they’re firing on all cylinders.

Finally, Andy Crowe & The Eisen Family took to the stage—and they were just unbelievably good. From the very first note, it was clear we were witnessing something special. Their set was a masterclass in musicianship, storytelling, and raw energy, effortlessly blending heartfelt lyricism with soaring melodies and tight instrumentation. Every song had weight, passion, and a sense of connection with the audience that took the night to another level. Their performance wasn’t just the perfect way to close the show—it defined the night itself, ensuring that for everyone in attendance, this would live long in the memory as a truly great moment for local music.

The Burton Radio & Echo crew had an amazing time, and we were so grateful for the shoutouts and song dedications. The local music scene is thriving like never before, and nights like this are proof of just how much talent we have right on our doorstep.
